The JH Track Teams competed in the Lynx JH Relays in Spearman on Thursday night.
The 7th Grade Boys finished fourth overall as a team behind Stratford, West Texas, & Highland Park. Anthony Cruz placed 1st in the triple jump and 200 meter dash and placed 2nd in the long jump. Trenton Finley placed 2nd in the pole vault. Justin Moreno place 6th in the 800 meter run. Marshall Thornton placed 6th in the 400 meter dash. The 400 meter relay and 800 meter relay both placed 5th, and the 1600 meter relay finished 2nd.
The 8th Grade Boys again won the meet in dominating fashion. They scored points in every event and had 256 total points. Spearman was second with 86 points. Jacob Collier set a new JH school record in the 400 meter dash by running a 53.70. The old record was a 54.2 that was set in 1970 by Juan Renteria .
