Welcome to Gruver Independent School District!  Our mission is to “provide exceptional educational opportunities to every child in a safe and nurturing environment that will produce responsible, productive, and successful citizens”.  Our students are our priority, and in this ever-changing world we strive to maintain our conservative, rural values, while at the same time demonstrate a proactive and progressive mindset to help meet the needs of our 21st Century students.  Since at least 1930, our community has rallied around our school.  You see that today in not only the involvement and attendance at extracurricular and co-curricular events, but also in the time, effort, money, and machinery donated to help produce the corn crop that becomes the Gruver Farm Scholarship.  This one-of-a-kind program speaks volumes of our community, and assists our students as they pursue the next chapter in their life.

As a father of three former and one current GISD student, I can attest to the quality of principals, teachers, and staff that we have.  Entering our 14th year in Gruver (sixth as Superintendent), I can also attest to the fact that Gruver, Texas is a superb place to rear a family!  Thank you to all to make our community and school district so special!  If you have any questions about transfer, or if you have any questions in general, please do not hesitate to contact us.  Thank you for paying a visit to our website and have a great day!

Wade Callaway, Superintendent
